Ordering / Shipping
How much will shipping cost?
FREE ($0.00)
Currently, any model of the Litter-Robot will ship without any additional charges for shipping, if you live in the contiguous 48 states. Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Canada will require additional shipping charges.
However, know that should you decide to return your Litter-Robot in the allowed 90-day money-back timeframe, Auto-Pets will not pay the return shipping. You will be responsible for any expenses incurred getting it back to them. From what I’ve heard from others, depending on where you live, the cost ends up being between $50-$90 (USD) for postage.
At some point in the future, Automated Pets could change their mind and pass the shipping on to us, but for years now, FREE shipping has been one of the major benefits of ordering one.
Can I order the Litter-Robot internationally? (Outside of the United States)
Yes! (and no).
Currently, Automated Pet Care Products only ships within the United States. However, they are working with International partners that sell them in many different countries such as:
Bulgaria, Canada, China, Europe, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UK

How long will it take to receive my Litter-Robot?
3 to 4 business days after the order is placed.
It really depends on how far you live from their separate shipping center in Juneau WI, 53039. The closer you live to it, the sooner you will receive your Litter-Robot.
As an example, we received our Litter-Robot exactly 7 days from the day we placed our order. I placed the order late on a Friday, and by the afternoon of the following Friday it was delivered to us in Los Angeles, CA by Fed-Ex Ground (total distance: over 2000 miles).
Setup
Can I use an appliance timer with any of the Litter-Robots?
Yes. An appliance timer will work just dandy!
Just know that when the timer is scheduled to turn your Litter-Robot II back on, it will then perform a complete cycle, just as if you were turning it on after it was unplugged and without power. This cycle happens even if a kitty hasn’t been in the device the entire time it was off.
And in case you were wondering, yes, if a kitty is inside the device when the timer turns the device on, the safety features will kick in and prevent the cycle from happening until after the kitty has left the device and then the 7 minute waiting period has occurred.
FUN FACT: The Litter-Robot III – “Open Air” models come with a timer built in, so no need to add one with them!
